I think your plan looks fine. My comments are towards some ideas for parental involvement. All of our teachers went to a blog instead of just webpage so that parents could subscribe to posts. All teachers were required to weekly update blogs with rough lesson plans for each week. Another thing that we did to increase parent involvement in open houses was to change it to a Spring Showcase. Each department and extracurricular activity/club made a science project-like poster to display what was going on in their classes and how to become part of the club or group (athletics, NJHS, choir, band, SPirit Club, Art club, Robotics Club, etc.) Each teacher was responsible for calling about 10 homes to invite parents and kids, Including the future students of the school from feeder schools. We also had hot dogs and drinks donated and each attendee got those free as well as door prizes. The PALS did face painting for the little kids and you could even include groups from the high school your students will be going to. Our parent involvement went from about 100 parents to 700 parents coming. We are a 3A school district with 700 kids in our high school.

Therefore, I'm sure your research outcomes will be relevant and interesting. Keep working hard, and I know you'll be pleased with your research results.
